Thank you for your interest in my art and woodworking! All of the wood in the pieces you will see have been purchased from all over the world. I do not change the grain on any of the wood with stain or in any way except by adding epoxy to enhance its beauty and protect it. I love searching for and working with highly figured, uncommon and unusual wood. I find the spalted (fancy word for beginning to rot) wood to be the most challenging and ending up being the most colorful, most beautiful and most rewarding. When you purchase a piece of art, included is a laser engraved plate with a short history of where the wood came from, the species, epoxy used, who the piece was made for and when.
