Three-Piece Spalted Maple Slice from Tennessee
Yep. You read that right. This maple slice was in 3 pieces when I began this project. It was a challenge but it turned out beautifully! I only used epoxy…no glue…no screws…no nails…none of that. Once stabilized, it took about 7 or 8 pours of epoxy before I could even think about the top coat, but I love how it turned out. The Emerald Green epoxy highlights the cracks exactly like I hoped it would as well as filling the worm-holes and other voids. Black metal “crossed X” base. 18.5” tall x 21” diameter top x 17.5” diameter base
